Meet Dr. Eric J. Yegelwel, M.D.

Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology services from Riverside Medical are led by Dr. Eric J. Yegelwel, a leading Chicago Gastroenterologist. Dr. Yegelwel specializes in diagnosing and treating an array of gastrointestinal diseases  with non-surgical procedures. In addition, Dr. Yegelwel provides preventative care, such as colon cancer screening. People appreciate his down to earth and approachable nature as well as his commitment to providing  each patient with specialized personal care.

Dr. Yegelwel received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois Hospital. Dr. Yegelwel completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Loyola University Medical Center/Hines Veterans Administration Hospital. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Yegelwel served as the Chief of the Gastroenterology Section at Northwest Community Hospital. He has authored two articles in The American Journal of Gastroenterology and The Journal of Digestive Diseases and Sciences.
